Responsibilities include network architecture design, capacity planning, protocol analysis, vendor equipment evaluation, and hands-on configuration of Nokia, Ericsson, and Cisco platforms. The role involves travel to project sites across Iraq. Requires a minimum of 8 years of experience in telecommunications network engineering, CCNP or equivalent certification, and strong experience with at least two major equipment vendors. CCIE certification and experience with DWDM optical networks are highly desirable.

AST is looking for a Defense Solutions Consultant to join our growing tactical communications and security division. This client-facing role involves understanding the operational requirements of military and security clients, developing technical solutions, and leading proposal efforts for defense tenders. The successful candidate will have a strong background in military communications systems including HF/VHF/UHF radio, satellite communications, electronic warfare, or C4ISR platforms. You will work closely with international OEM partners including Thales, L3Harris, and Rohde & Schwarz to configure solutions that meet the specific needs of Iraqi defense forces. Requirements include a minimum of 10 years of experience in defense communications, either in military service or the defense industry. A security clearance or the ability to obtain one is essential. Fluency in Arabic and English is required.

We are hiring a PMP-certified Project Manager to lead large-scale telecommunications infrastructure deployment projects across northern Iraq. You will manage all aspects of project delivery including planning, resource allocation, budget control, quality assurance, risk management, and client communication. Current projects include multi-site LTE rollouts, fiber optic network builds, and enterprise IT deployments. The role requires experience managing teams of 50+ people across multiple simultaneous work fronts, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments. Requirements include PMP certification, a minimum of 7 years of project management experience in telecommunications or IT infrastructure, and proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. Experience working in Iraq or the Middle East is strongly preferred.

AST seeks an IT Infrastructure Specialist to design and deploy data center, server, storage, and virtualization solutions for our enterprise clients. You will be responsible for solution architecture, implementation planning, and hands-on deployment of IT infrastructure projects including server consolidation, private cloud builds, disaster recovery solutions, and network security implementations. The ideal candidate has strong experience with VMware or Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization, enterprise storage platforms, Windows Server and Linux administration, and backup/DR technologies. Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and experience with Cisco or Juniper network security appliances is valuable. Requirements include a minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering, relevant certifications such as VCP, MCSE, or CCNA, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.

We are hiring Field Technicians to support the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of telecommunications equipment at sites across southern Iraq. Duties include tower climbing for antenna installation, microwave alignment, fiber optic splicing, power system installation, and equipment rack-and-stack. You will work as part of a field team deployed to customer sites including telecom towers, oil field locations, and government facilities. The role is physically demanding and requires a willingness to travel extensively and work in outdoor conditions. Requirements include a technical diploma in telecommunications or electrical engineering, a minimum of 3 years of hands-on field experience with telecom equipment, and valid tower climbing certification. Experience with Nokia or Ericsson radio equipment, Cambium microwave systems, or fiber splicing is highly desirable. A valid Iraqi driving license is required.

Success in this role requires a deep understanding of the Iraqi telecommunications and IT market, strong commercial negotiation skills, and the ability to articulate complex technical solutions in business terms. Requirements include a minimum of 7 years of business development or sales experience in telecommunications or IT, a strong existing network of client relationships in Iraq, and a Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.
